Where has the day gone?

Where has the day gone? I was going to write this morning, and here it is evening and I’m just sitting down to do it. My whole day went like that.  School got started late. It was after lunch before any books were taken out. I had to be at church for the Children’s Christmas Program practice, and was planning on leaving early so I could run a few errands first. Early? What was I thinking. I ended up running the errands after practice, which meant getting home late. That meant dinner, which didn’t get done before practice was even later…And so it goes.

This was a "math and language arts" day for us. We did those 2 subjects and only those 2 subjects. The kids love days like today because it means less work for them. Less school work, anyway. They had plenty of other work to do–cleaning the garage, feeding calves, milking cows.

Tomorrow is another day. Another chance for getting some science and social studies done.
